Chic Chain is 2 years old and has quite an energetic personality so far. He has a very soft and sleek tuxedo black coat, white paws, with a white racing stripe on the nose. He loves his food, and he is learning the routines and rules of the house. I'm sure he would love to cuddle on the couch (as he has tried), but knows the rules and has respected them.
He does whine for a minute when crated, but stops quickly after. He stays quiet while we are gone. When we get home, he is quite excited to get out and start the nights routine. He does well with our 6 and 12 year old kids. He enjoys his nightly walks, but gets distracted by the neighborhood squirrels, rabbits, cats, and smaller dogs. Given his reactions to other animals, I don't think he is small animal safe.
He does very well with carpeted stairs. Smooth stairs he isn't a fan of, but will slowly traverse them. Not afraid of wood floors, but does slide a bit, especially when he's excited to see who's at the door or hears someone say "outside". When its time to relax in the living room he is quite content catching Z's on the bed next to the couch.
Cute things about him, when sitting on the couch, he comes over and puts his head on my lap. Then, a scratch behind the ears makes his eyes roll back in his head. And, he has some cute reactions to reflections in mirrors and windows. He cant seem to find the other dog behind the mirror.
He's an active and outgoing guy, has yet to meet a stranger.
