Arriving 4/7/2019: Super social except doesn’t like booming stereos
April 15, 2019: Blade is quite a character. He’s a rare blend of confident and insecure. He loves walks, but will be attached to your leg. He wants to be be near you (or at least able to see you) at all times, but will chill in his crate even with the door open. He’s just started playing with toys, and will carry them to his bed. He hasn’t figured out that shoes are not toys, but a firm no and he drops the footwear.
He has an exuberance that is usually reserved for the younger dogs. He has no idea how large he is and flings his body around while playing, knocking anything near him over- chairs, children, other dog, or anyone not steady on their feet. He has a lot of energy, a romp in the back yard helps release all that energy, as well as long walks. Have I mentioned he loves walks?
He wants to meet the kitties and the small dogs but he is not gentle with his attention. I think with time and work he’ll settle down and be able to live with small animals. He’s currently being fostered with a toy poodle and two cats, and while there are skirmishes, no small animals have been harmed.
