Sweet and quiet
11/10/2019: Kat is adapting wonderfully to the retired life. She is a calm, confident playful and more than anything, super, super sweet and affectionate dog. That said, she isn't demanding of affection, just makes herself available for it and clearly loves it! She is very much a people dog. I think she'd be fine as an only dog or with companions. She isn't scared of a thing - not huge riding lawn mowers ten feet away, not vacuums, storms or anything else she's been exposed to. She is smart and has learned house rules quickly, although she's perhaps a little too smart for her own good in that she is a bit of a Houdini - new parents will need to be vigilant - she's ready to explore everything in the world around her! She's very respectful of what's asked of her and just wants to please. She is very food driven, which makes her easy to train. She isn't high energy but does love to play with toys of all kinds. She's had no accidents in the house, waits 8 hours between potty breaks, and has really just been a very easy hound to have around.
